Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on Thursday asserted his club is aiming to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in their English Premier League (EPL) tie on Saturday and finish above them in the points table. After 11 matches, Arsenal are currently seated sixth in the table with 19 points while Tottenham are third with 23.”They’ve come a long way in the last few years, they finished above us last year, and we want to finish above them this year,” Sky Sports quoted the 25-year-old as saying.”But it’s not all about that, we don’t just look at them. We want to finish as high as we can. We know it’s going to be a tough game. It’s at the Emirates, so we have to take the game to them,” Wilshere added. The English international also said the London derby will be a massive match and they are focused to clinch three points from it.”We’ll see. You’re only as good as your last game. We lost our last game and we need to bounce back. It’s a massive game, and we’re looking to get three points. We’ll be ready for it,” Wilshere said.

The Gunners goalkeeper knows that the only way their team will do great things is if they can also win while visiting others. In the 2018-2019 English Premier League season so far, Arsenal has only won four of 12 away matches. This is a big contrast on what has happened at Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners have gotten a victory in 10 of 13 games. And for goalkeeper Bernd Leno, the only way Arsenal can aim high, is if it starts winning away matches.“I think the game started very badly, with a goal. And it ended with a goal for Man City and I think in the first half we played very good and we conceded two easy goals,” he told the club’s official website.“In the second half, we didn’t have the power to play against them because they had the ball all the time and we were running.”“We fought until the end but today, Manchester City did a very good job,” he added.“Yes, of course. It was very hard. But the reaction of the team was brilliant.”“We scored the goal from a corner and I think it was the worst time to concede the second goal, just before half-time,” he commented.Chelsea hat-trick hero Tammy Abraham hopes for more Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Tammy Abraham hopes this season will be his big breakthrough at Chelsea after firing his first hat-trick for the club in Saturday’s 5-2 win at Wolves.“Yes, of course. We need wins like today, to go back to the top four but I think we are still in a good position to go to the top four.”“We still have big games and I think we need more away wins because at home we play very good,” he explained.“We win many games at home, but I think to go into the top four again we need more away wins.”German keeper Leno is in his first season with the Gunners after being transferred to the English Premier League from the German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. He was an important piece of the U17, U18, U19, and U21 Nationalmannschaft but has had a difficult time to play first-team football in the senior squad. Here come the teams! 🙌🔵 🆚 🔴#MCIARS pic.twitter.com/tYcX8jef6U— Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) February 3, 2019

Rohit Sharma became a father to Samaira last yearRohit Sharma TwitterRohit Sharma is one of the best batsmen in limited-overs cricket and the captain of Mumbai Indians. But apart from this, the Mumbai cricketer also happens to be a doting father who is not hesitant to show his love for his newly-born daughter Samaira. With a day to go for the IPL Final, Rohit Sharma again took time off to play with his daughter. The official Twitter handle of his team Mumbai Indians, put out a video where the young father is showering his affection on Samaira. Earlier in the season also, he posted a video of himself giving Spanish lessons to his daughter. After his team had won the first qualifier of the ongoing season of IPL, he had posted a picture of himself and his wife sitting on the Wankhede outfield with their daughter. The text accompanying the photograph said: “At the end, this is what matters the most.”Rohit, who is 32 years old, got married in December 2015 to Ritika Sajdeh and the couple became parents in December last year. His wife has been seen often at stadiums supporting her husband while the whole family has been together during most of the season. It has become common among Indian cricketers of current generation to have their families with them and their spouses and partners present at the stadium. It is a sea change from earlier generations of cricketers who were rather discreet about showing their emotions in public. Both Sharma and India captain Virat Kohli have acknowledged their wives on field as well after getting to landmarks. While that may draw a mixed response from people used to watching the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid maintain stoicism about their personal feelings, the pictures and videos of Rohit Sharma with his cute daughter are bound to melt the heart of most sensitive people.

The United Way of Central Maryland announced $8.27 million in funding of grants and other community investment. The funding will be used to help families in Baltimore County, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties and Baltimore City. “Thanks to the generosity of local companies, foundations and individuals, we are able to continue our important efforts to change the odds for families and communities facing poverty,” said Mark Furst, president and CEO of United Way of Central Maryland, in a statement. The money has already been earmarked for several initiatives across the region with a focus on connecting citizens to basic human services and putting families on the path to stability. The United Way of Central Maryland has awarded 59 operating grants, totaling approximately $1.36 million, to organizations delivering critical basic needs services throughout central Maryland, including emergency housing, quality afterschool programming, healthcare services and more. Also an additional pool of $179,000 has been reserved to support nonprofit organizations that experience unanticipated surges in demand for services or experience emergencies during the fiscal year.Another $1.29 million has been allocated to the 2-1-1 Maryland United Way Helpline and the 2-1-1 Maryland system statewide. 2-1-1 is a confidential informational and referral service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in 150 languages. The line can be called with requests for assistance with things like food, shelter, healthcare, utility bills and tax preparation assistance.United Way also has committed $600,000 to its partner, the American Red Cross – Greater Chesapeake, to underwrite its year-round local disaster response efforts. Another $150,000 has been allocated to this year’s Project Homeless Connect being held on September 24, where more than 1,500 clients experiencing homelessness are expected to receive services onsite help from 150 providers.United Way programs specifically targeting homeless and nearly homeless families include helping at-risk families stabilize before they become homeless, diverting homeless families from traditional shelters to permanent housing, accompanied by comprehensive case management and financial literacy, asset-building, budgeting and employment.Earlier this year the group announced grants for community groups helping Baltimore recover following the riots in late April. The programs funded included ones for male mentoring, summer employment, arts programs for children and literacy programs.
